DAM ("we," "our," or "us") is a nutrition tracking application developed by Paul Wakim. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

How We Use Your Information

- Provide Core App Functionality: Calculate your personalized calorie and macro targets, track your nutrition progress, and manage your weekly calorie budgets
- Enable AI Meal Logging: Process your meal descriptions to estimate nutritional content (when you choose to use this feature)
- Manage Your Subscription: Process payments and manage your subscription status through Apple App Store
- Improve Our Services: Understand how users interact with the app to improve features and user experience
- Ensure App Stability: Monitor for crashes and errors to maintain app reliability

Authentication Services

- OpenAI - Analyze meal descriptions to estimate nutritional content. Data shared: Meal description text only. We do NOT share your name, email, user ID, or any other personal information with OpenAI. AI meal logging is optional. Privacy Policy
- Perplexity - Search for nutritional information for foods. Data shared: Food item search queries only. Privacy Policy
Analytics
- PostHog - Product analytics to understand feature usage. Data shared: User ID, anonymized usage events. We do not enable session recordings. Privacy Policy
Error Monitoring
- Sentry - Crash reporting and error tracking. Data shared: User ID, error details, device information. Privacy Policy
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in Supabase's cloud infrastructure located in the United States. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Portability: You can view most of your data directly within the app.
- Correction: You can update your profile information and settings at any time through the app.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data through the Account screen in the app settings. This action cannot be undone.
- Opt-Out of AI Features: You can choose not to use the AI meal logging feature. Manual entry is always available.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your information, and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, please contact us.

Children's Privacy
DAM is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
